Imagine trekking through a pristine Himalayan landscape, where every step takes you closer to the heart of untouched wilderness and spiritual serenity. The Satopanth Lake Trek is a hidden gem, offering a harmonious blend of natural grandeur, cultural richness, and personal adventure. From the shimmering emerald waters of Satopanth Lake to the towering peaks of Chaukhamba, Nilkanth, and Swargarohini, this trek promises breathtaking vistas at every turn. Add to this the allure of ancient myths and the warm hospitality of local mountain communities, and you have an adventure that transcends mere travel.
This high-altitude trek begins at Mana Village, India’s last inhabited settlement before the Tibetan border. As you ascend, you’ll traverse rugged trails, alpine meadows, glacial moraines, and narrow ridges, ultimately reaching Satopanth Lake at an altitude of 4,600 meters. While the trek demands endurance and preparation, it rewards adventurers with unparalleled views and unforgettable experiences.
Gather with the group at Akshardham metro station, right outside Haldiram, around 10 PM. Look for our Trip Lead who will be waiting for you at the Akshardham metro station. After the initial introduction, we’ll kick off our journey to Rishikesh.
We make an early morning stop at Haridwar’s Ganga Ghat to witness the aarti ceremony before continuing our journey to the Rishikesh campsite.
Upon arrival at the campsite, check in and enjoy a cup of tea along with breakfast. After some relaxation time, leave for River Rafting.
After having lunch, we’ll go for a short nature walk around the Ganga river in the evening and return to our campsite.

Pick-Up Information
Options to Reach Rishikesh
First, you can arrive at Delhi, Dehradun airport or Chandigarh. The journey from these locations to Rishikesh is explained below.
1. Take overnight train/bus to Rishikesh.
2. Take overnight train/bus to Haridwar and drive to Rishikesh (25km | 35 min drive with normal traffic).
3. Take overnight train/bus to Dehradun and drive to Rishikesh (50km | 1hr 20min drive with normal traffic).
( We always recommend going for the govt. Buses over the private ones outside the bus station as based on the experience we have found that there are very high chances of delay involved with private buses. Also, govt. Buses are always more reliable. Whichever bus you choose, just make sure to reach Rishikesh at least by 05:30 am. )
4. Board a flight to Dehradun airport (Jolly Grant Airport) (21 km, 30 min). If you’re arriving by air, then come one day in advance.
